19.11.2020 Lies, damned lies and "IN STOCK"

Thursday 19th 46F, grey, windy and wet. A slightly later walk to the lanes. A bird of prey came sailing over the hedge, saw me and turned around. After being sheltered by the roadside trees and hedges I reached my usual turning point away from the traffic. A small saddle in the landscape speeds the wind through there and it was no different today. 

It was just at that moment that wet hail lashed down. I dived behind a hedge but it provided little shelter. Except from the wind. There was no point in continuing where there were no hedges at all. So I returned. To find a bird of prey soaring over the local hill. Too far away and against the light for  a decent shot.

I am thoroughly sick of Danish online companies claiming to have stock. When what they really mean is that their wholesaler, somewhere. Perhaps in China, or Germany, or Sweden, or wherever, might have some stock in a week if the fates are on their side. 

The online dealer has grabbed your order under COMPLETELY FALSE PRETENCES. Then sits on it quietly until the item becomes available. Perhaps in a few days. Perhaps in three weeks. Meanwhile, the honest and efficient dealers have lost a sale to these online crooks. 

Even when you contact the dealer after a week of silence. To ask why you didn't get the same, next day service. Which is always provided by the honest and efficient companies. Their lying website still shows: "IN STOCK!"
