Saturday 15th 56-85F, calm and bright. 29C expected by lunch time. It was certainly warm but a breeze helped as I walked down the road and back. Mostly pottering about at home. In limbo until the heat subsides. Sunday 16th 62-87F, clear and bright again. Warm again tomorrow and then some relief with rain on Tuesday. I had better have an early walk before I change my mind again. It has cooled off to 81F indoors overnight. 84F when we went to bed.
Late morning walk to the lanes. It was hot but there was a pleasant breeze. It felt much cooler going indoors. Lots of activity. Tractors, lorries with hay bale trailers, an old sports car and lots of cyclists. Signs of heat and drought stress on the verges, in the hedges and trees. Even the Japanese knotweed had lots of brown leaves.
