Tuesday 25th 60-65?F, bright sunshine with only a little cloud so far. Going for a late walk to the lanes in warm sunshine. Modest traffic and not much else to report.
One of the home grocery shopping services has stopped delivering to our area due to a lack of demand. They were picking our groceries at a supermarket a long way from here. So single van journeys were proving too costly. This makes a large dent in our access to a wide range of safer groceries. That said, alternatives do exist, within a narrower range and we remain very grateful for their services.
It may sound very selfish but the elderly develop a taste for a particular diet and want to continue enjoying those same items. The main problems arise when everyday items, like bread and bread rolls are repeatedly absent from our home deliveries. What realistic alternatives are there to bread for sandwiches and toast? Let them eat Danish pastries?
A storm is crossing the UK and moving on over Denmark tonight and tomorrow. Wind and lots of heavy rain is forecast.
An old, ash tree inexplicably survives on the steep incline of the main track. Which crosses the prairie to finally climb up to the forest. I never tire of seeing it there and have photographed it countless times from many different angles.
