Wednesday 1st March -1C/29F. Cold and misty start. Mist persisted until the afternoon then cleared to sunshine.
I was painting again at the museum. Then asked to box up the books and dismantle the old library, steel shelving units. Noisy but fun!
I was offered a similar 45kph/28mph machine at a similar discounted price. The Moustache Friday 27FS. A French E-bike specialist manufacturer I had never heard of until today.
Same layout and appearance as the Scott Axis but with some [potentially] "inferior" specs. Smaller wheel size. Smaller disk brakes. Shorter suspension travel. Same Bosch motor, 625WH in-tube battery. Similar front and rear suspension layout but with different equipment. More upright "City Bike" riding position than Scott's "fake EMTB" pretensions? They really are very similar in styling.I watched all the YouTube video reviews, walk arrounds and sales pitches. The Moustache seems well liked. Hands-off stable, comfortable, easily capable of going off-road too. With lots of video proof!
Not sure what to do. I had rather homed in on the Scott Axis as the perfect e-bike for my needs. The all black, Moustache Friday looks just like a 1920s motorcycle in some of the videos.
Dinner was fish fingers, Pasta, peas and tinned tomatoes.
