Wednesday 13th 33F, calm, overnight frost. Some mist in the hollows. Sunshine promised for a couple of hours before cloud takes over.

A longer walk [1.5 hours] up to the woods via the edges of the fields. The bright sunshine inspired me to capture hundreds of photographs. Three hundred and forty one to be precise.

I saw four deer grazing on a freshly mowed field. They looked up but then went back to enjoying breakfast.

I wasted most of the day dismantling the old water heating system. The iron pipe joints inside the wood stove were rusted solid. Even with a three foot pipe as a lever they wouldn't budge. Not even with penetrating oil and couple of hours to soak in. So I had to resort to the hacksaw to get several pipes apart.
