28.11.2025 Power cut.

  Friday 28th 45F/7.2C [6.30] A grey day with early rain petering out. Windy, with gusts to 12m/s reducing slowly. 66F/19C in the room.

 Up at 5.30 after an average night. I was tormenting myself with memories. So I got up to escape from them.

 9.00 Going for a walk. It's dark grey and windy. Probably raining. Ventile jacket over pile lined fleece.

 9.30 Back again. The rain was not an issue but it was dark, damp and breezy. I was comfortable in my layers. 

 A power cut as I walked in the door. The water pressure was completely gone as well. All over in about seven minutes. Very rare these days. There was no warning. An accident with a digger seems unlikely. Too short an absence.

 13.10 Back from the shops in the next village. I bought some more kindling as well as the groceries.

 I lit the stove at 16.00. The room temperature climbed slowly to 68F/20C by 20.20.

 Dinner was a salmon pasty, peas, pasta and tinned tomatoes.
