Monday 8th 53F, rather overcast. A day of sunny periods is on offer. Make the most of it! A walk to the village. Even more traffic. Birdsong in between tyre roar. A Moorhen with a fluffy, black pompom of a chick. Browsing the lawn by a garden pond.
I enjoyed an hour by a small lake photographing the water birds in the afternoon. A couple of miles on the trike which makes an excellent bench for binoculars and other bits and pieces.

Why worry?
If the distant roar is the sky falling then so be it.
Risk avoidance is unhealthy if mental paralysis ensues.
Stay fit, stay light on your feet, stay flexible.
Exercise your mind and body at every chance and eat properly.
Be prepared for anything which comes your way.
Maximise setbacks in your own favour by positive thinking.
Earn your own keep by doing everything possible yourself.
[Except brain surgery.]
Your last day should be one of wonder and learning.
You never know which skills you will need next.
Avoid injuring others except in self defense:
Of your own rights to life, liberty and happiness.
Treat others with no less respect than yourself.
But do give them silly names if they don't respect you.
Spectators of life have no value except to themselves.
Always play the walk-on part in your own life. Never the "extra."
Extras pay others to polish their pride in ownership of the ephemeral.
You never own anything unless you willfully destroy it. Or put it in a vault.
Which denies you and those who follow, the pleasure of its existence.
Empowerment and entitlement are not good bedfellows.
They are opposites.. which attract only imbeciles.
Look around you. I rest my case.
