13.06.2020 Saturday 13th unlucky for a tiny vole.

~~

Saturday 13th 61-66F, heavy overcast and rather breezy. Possible rain and thunderstorms. I walked around the rural block. About three miles and mostly devoid of traffic. Everything is growing luxuriously. The coots had young on the village pond again this year. The verge grows ever more verdant. Making the pond increasingly private for the wildlife.

A Red kite has been foraging in our area for the past few days. Soaring effortlessly at low speed over the fields and gardens. It criss-crossed our garden repeatedly yesterday but missed the dead vole on the main drive. The tiny creature was probably prey to one of the domestic cats.

A day of heavy skies and repeated thunder but not a lot of rain [so far.]

Sunday 14th 62F, bright sunshine with variable cloud forecast. A pleasant, but breezy walk, going in both directions. I decided a change of route after a few hundred yards. A lot of traffic for a Sunday.

Another American has been publicly executed by a racist policeman. This time for falling asleep in his car in Atlanta in the very Un-united States. Apparently the recently deceased couldn't afford a team of ambulance chasers to defend him. Unlike Chump. Who can. At taxpayer's expense.
