22.06.2020 Hvor er min gratis elbil? Where is my free electric car?

~~

Monday 22nd 60-67F, rather heavy overcast with a fitful breeze. A walk to the lanes in warm sunshine. It has already reached 67F. Three hares were sunbathing on the winter flood plains in the fields.

Denmark's election promise to fight climate change by reducing its CO2 production by 0.07% by 2330 2430 is slowly taking shape. All the other Danish parties have been making a fuss over the lack of progress or even any announcements. Well they would, wouldn't they? As if they were doing anything except increase CO2 and abandon decades of climate care and research while they were <cough> "in power." As loyal servants and brown nosers of the farmers.

The plan now is to phase out gas and oil central heating systems entirely at the home owner's expense. Going over to a heat pump will not leave any change from £10,000 equivalent. Perhaps this is just a sly way to reduce car sales by impoverishing the entire population instead of just the poor? This is suggested just as the Danish public abandons public transport because of the Jinping Virus. Whoops!

The Danish banks are talking about favourable loans for buying electric cars. They might as well hand the money straight to the taxman instead. The cars are largely unaffordable precisely because of hefty, Danish, import taxes. There must surely be half-submerged, Pacific atolls with more electric cars than Denmark!

A new [voluntary] rule will look into Denmark's habit of buying rare trees as wood chips for burning in Danish power stations. Shipped across the world from the endangered, Amazon Rain Forest. In future "they" will have to check [voluntarily] for <cough> sustainability. Woohoo! You really couldn't make this stuff up! Is this how you sell transparent hypocrisy?

Denmark is desperately avoiding applying a CO2 tax. Not sure why. When Denmark's national sport is taxation. It cost 2-4 times as much to live in Denmark than anywhere else in Europe. Only Switzerland is more expensive. Because they like the exclusivity image to sell their trinkets and other male jewellery to millionaire sports and media persons.Thank god I am not an "influencer!" Or I'd have to carry a glistering, divers weight on my emaciated wrist. Or be roasted online.
