Monday 4th 43-56F and bright sunshine all day. Though with a variety of cloud. No walk today.Too busy at home. One of the parcels was taken away. Still waiting for a visit from the postman.
Tuesday 5th 39-56F Day 48+6. Bright sunshine from a blue sky. Light frost on the grass. Cloud expected later. A very early walk would be sensible. No walk today. No post.
Wednesday 6th 35F, white frost on the grass, bright, freckles of small clouds and calm. I could be sunny all day. Or sunny periods all day. Up early again. Just a half hour, brisk walk up the road and back again. A cold NW wind and too much cloud. Traffic almost normal.
Thursday 7th 45-61F, bright sunshine. An early, brisk walk to the lanes. Only half an hour of dodging the busy traffic. Talking of which: We have seen the first vapour trail in ages. Probably heading for Copenhagen. Denmark is opening up again, in stages, from next Monday. Strict social distancing is still expected. A long and sunny afternoon when it reached 61F.Friday 8th 42-65F, clear and bright with a westerly breeze. An early walk to the lanes helped to avoid the rush hour. Birdsong from every bush. The warblers, in all their variety, have joined the Chaffinches and Blackbirds in competing with the steadily increasing, traffic noise. A long and warm, sunny day.
