7.00 The sun has just risen over the low hill to the east. Up at 6.30 after a quiet night with strange dreams. I must get out today. Hopefully for a ride. No silly distances yet. I don't know how well recovered I am.
8.55 32F/0C. Bright sunshine. Back from a walk. Looping around the fields by the spray tracks. My fingers were cold in thick gloves. While I was sweating in two jackets. I had to open them both and take off my fleece cap. The stove is still going well. 64F/18C in the room.
12.45 40F/4.4C. Bright sunshine. Back from a shopping ride of 26km. I saw a Morris Minor and gave them a wave. I doubt they understood why a cyclist was waving but they waved back anyway. Two swans flew low over the main road. Heading for the extensive marshland in that area. It wasn't too unpleasant on my way there but felt much colder coming home. Though my hands were comfortable throughout. Over 100F in the greenhouse. So I opened all the internal doors to spread the warmth. The stove had gone out.
I found some packets of Corny, sub-micro, protein bars at a discount. I have been refusing to pay 26kr when these bars were only 10kr when they were first released. They have shrunk too! The bags are the same size but now they are completely flat at each end.
Most supermarket chains stopped selling them altogether. Presumably because they considered them poor value. Or, more likely, they were simply not selling at the hiked price. I liked to nibble one as a small snack. When I was out on a ride. They didn't repeat on me or make me feel full. The latter is meant as a rather sick joke.
Dinner was mackerel on toast. No picture.
