Tuesday 28th 66F, windy and cloudy with some sunny periods. A walk to the lanes with the wind keeping me cool. Though it was a bit noisy in my one good pathetic ear before the turn to put my deaf ear upwind. The verges are looking bountiful.
Several birds of prey went over looking for breakfast. Yesterday's [literally] thousands of gulls were absent today. Slightly odd. The traffic was very light. With a solitary Tesla amongst them.

Further to Boris' announcements on bicycle use: There will be a £50 allowance for basic repairs to bring a bike back into a use. The bike shops claim they will be able to cope once they get up to speed.
There will be more emphasis on cycling promotion rather than always languishing in the gutter. [Sic.] With public transport now considered high risk there is the great danger of more cars rather than more bicycles.

Will new cyclists put up with the same levels of pollution, bullying and pig ignorance by retarded motorists as was the norm before the pandemic? There is a massive education programme required to back up any hope of cycling becoming accepted.
Planners still think in terms of billions for a few yards of pointless motorway. Rather than a few millions to expand the entire local cycling network. Holland is probably unique in providing a whole picture of what is possible. Cycling doesn't have to be reinvented from scratch. Though I guarantee Gravely Blighted's "road experts" will pretend it is. Until the pitiful, new funds run out.
