Thursday 19th 41F, bright and sunny. With lots of blue sky and only thin, high cloud. Time for a walk. The dustbin men haven't been! [They came at lunch time instead of the usual, early hours of the morning.]
I walked around the rural block listening to the unlikely clomp of my boots on the road. Then there was all the bird song and their calls.
The traffic today was lighter than I ever remember it. Lots of daffodils in flower. Several geese and a large bird of prey went over. Cormorants too.
A flood-prone field has been adopted by water birds. There were at least a couple of dozen coots, two swans, two mallard drakes and several geese. They were all enjoying a very natural looking lake which wasn't even there last year.
Today's Pandemic Darwin Awards: The Internet is awash with fake new about the pandemic. Some of it is trivial. However, other online rumours are clearly dangerous to health and safety. The "no smoke without fire" brigade should go back to the prisons and mental hospitals from which they have obviously escaped. Then see how well your "infinite" medical knowledge and "wise" advice survive the test of humble reality!
