Thursday 3rd 32-43F, a thin hoar frost from overnight mist. A bright start but light grey. Sunshine promised for after lunch. My replacement boots are out for delivery. And have just arrived. I am off-road, mobile again! Only the slightest discomfort from the new boots. Mostly around the ankle bones. I shall loosen the laces slightly until the boots are broken in. My usual, 40 minute walk was completed in 30 minutes. Slush from the hoar frost was falling from the overhanging, roadside trees. Lots of small birds about again. A long, sunny day once the mist had lifted.
The [mostly unwanted] contents the bike shed. Accumulated over decades. Dozens of seat pins, gear changers, levers, handlebars, sprockets, gear cassettes, saddles, chain rings and crank sets and cranks, bottom brackets, brakes & random brackets and fittings. Campag Chorus and others, assorted Shimano, TA. Brooks Cambium & Professional.
What to do with it all? It would be a great shame to just dump it in the recycling yard as scrap! Would anybody be willing to take it away for a modest sum? eBay[UK] is too far away and totally føcked by Brexit.
