18.11.2021 Another grey day.

 ~~

Thursday 18th 46-50F, leaden overcast. Rain promised with wind. It was quite clear late yesterday afternoon and evening. With unexpected moonlight. It was already raining this morning by 10am.

A cool wind took the edge off the mild temperatures. The only visible wildlife consisted of distant gulls. A flock of wood pigeons was having a meeting in a tree but quickly retreated as I approached.

There was an unusually bright yellow to the grass and plants in one field. I'm not sure whether it has been sprayed. Though there are clear signs of wheel slip damage on the steeper slopes. We usually refer to the spray aftermath as "Agent Orange." Because that is precisely the colour of many fields after spraying.
