Friday 19th 34-36F, white frost, bright start but rather cloudy. Aching all over from repeated, excessive exercise working on a project. A walk usually helps. I'll let you know: Only a little.
A cold, north easterly wind made my eyes water as the cloud thickened to overcast. Single drops of rain turned to single flakes of wintry stuff. Crows were having a shouting match. Out of sight somewhere. Down near the village.
A few gulls reluctantly moved away. What they are doing in the absence of mink fodder I have no idea. The former thousands are down to less than ten. The smaller birds can't wait for spring. There were fifteen sparrows perched on a single twig in the hedge. Monitoring my plodding approach to the garden gate. The first wagtail has arrived in our area.
The afternoon 36F cleared from cool and cloudy with light hail to almost cloudless, bright sunshine.
