3.10.2024 Time traveling.

  Thursday. A sunny day is promised.

 Up at 5.30. I have to drive 60km to the hospital for an x-ray. Then back again.

 13.00 56F/13C. Bright sunshine but a gusty wind. Back home again. I was ten minutes early for my appointment. They called me in straight away and I had left the hospital before my appointment was actually due. Less than ten minutes. I was getting occasional chest pains. So I used the nitro glycerine spray a couple of times. It helped.

 I pottered around two large charity shops before leaving the distant city for home. Where I bought another large mirror. There was road resurfacing in two villages. Which delayed me only slightly. About an hour and ten minutes each way.  60km each way by the main roads according to Google Earth. Shopped in the local village for essentials. I need an after-lunch nap!

 17.30 Still sunny. Back from the shops. I forgot to buy bread for toast! I have been clearing branches from the last trimming of the hedge.

 Dinner was sardines on toast.

2.10.2024 Tomato depletion.

  Wednesday 2nd 47F/8C [7.00] A sunny morning is promised. Rather breezy from the northeast.

 Up at 6am after a fairly quiet night with strange dreams. 63F/17C in the room after the stove burned for a while yesterday evening.

 I have an appointment in the center of the city this morning. I'll go early in the Morris and hope I can find free parking nearby. 

 7.40 I have just wasted half an hour catching up on the washing up. Plus some sorting of the wet and dry laundry. Am I having fun yet?

 13.20 Returned from the city. Where I dallied in the big shed, DIY outlets before heading home. No washing machines caught my eye.

 17.30 Returned with three sacks of kindling and some shopping. I paused on the way home to chat with the lady in the village. I was there for about an hour a half.

Dinner was salad. Without tomatoes! No bread left so I couldn't make toast. I feel so inadequate!

1st October 2024 Just another day at the office.

 ~o~

  Tuesday 1st Oct. 50F/10C [9.00] Heavily overcast, windy and raining. 64F indoors.

 Up at 7.40 after a slightly disturbed night and weird dreams.

 I just caught the start of a shower on my t-shirts. Having hung them outside to air overnight in the wind. They must have dried because the falling raindrops were highly visible. Now the greenhouse clothes line is over-decorated.

 I'll visit my friend later, as usual. In the Morris. Gales and rain are not much fun on a bike. Not even with an electric motor to aid forward progress.

 13.00 54F/12C. Returned from a drive to visit my friend. Shopped on the way home. The earlier rain has stopped and the gales subsided.

 Another afternoon wasted at the computer.

 Dinner was chicken, mushrooms and an egg. Followed by a bread roll.
