Wednesday 25th 55-64F light winds, very heavy overcast and raining. The forecast was for grey and
no rain. Or grey and rain all day. Take your pick. BTW: The windows are wet. That's not what the national weather service said.
Talking of rain: Did you see the combined events triathlon in Britain pretending to be the World Championships time trial? Water up to two feet deep on the route! What a farce! They weren't even wearing life jackets on their bikes! No drownings are reported amongst the competitors. Though not for the want of trying in some cases. The lengths the Brits will go to to save money, eh? What next? Pedalo world championships on damp roads? Here's a Dane taking the combined swimming & cycling event rather more seriously than most.

The roads were damp but not my spirits as I walked briskly to the lanes and back again. I used my road crossing strategy on the lethal corner but there was no traffic to be seen in either direction. Typical!
Thursday 26th 55-59F, heavy overcast and dry but still. I plodded to the lanes and back again. No ride today. It became windier later with changing cloud cover.
Friday 27th 55-60?F, heavy grey overcast and almost calm. Early rain should clear. It stayed dry for my walk. Though the cloud was threatening at times. For the third day in a row I walked the outside verge of the most dangerous corner. Only to find no traffic coming in either direction. It is 59F, still grey, but now it is breezy as I leave for a shopping ride.
A 45° cross tailwind going. Returned heavily laden into the matching headwind. Only 14 miles. Several dimwits overtook me just as the only car passed in the opposite direction in otherwise long, empty straights. Rain turned to stair rods on an open stretch where the big, pig farmer has ripped all the hedges out. Fortunately the rain soon stopped but it was fierce while it lasted. More like hail.
The latest Danish government, which was voted in on their promised climate policies, are halving support for wind and solar park projects. Windmill manufacturers are laying off hundreds of staff. I wonder what "spending the money on other green measures" means? Buying a huge Tesla battery?
