Friday 31st 44F/6.7C[8.10] Grey. We were promised sunshine!
Up at 7.30 after drifting for hours.
9.30 I was correct in my diagnosis of the Morris engine fault. The low voltage lead feeding the points. I swapped to the replacement obtained during yesterday's ride. Starting is back to normal. Instant with a bit of choke from cold.
I cleaned the lenses on the security cameras while I was nearby. Spiders like to arrange their webs. To catch all the insects attracted by the four bright diodes at night. The same insects set off multiple hits at night. I may have to turn down the sensitivity to movement.15.30 Back from the shops with groceries. Remind me never to go again on a Friday afternoon. The village was packed. With long traffic queues. People parking on the grass verges due to a lack of parking spaces.
The supermarkets were packed too. With at least 30 people in each checkout queue. A chap in the supermarket car park was absolutely delighted with the Morris Minor. Which finally behaved itself today.
Dinner was cheese on toast with halved cherry tomatoes. I have finally lit the stove.
