Another rough night. Up at 7.20 after hourly, failed attempts. Wet, sticky coughing fits. Which wont clear my lungs. I shall attempt another walk when I feel up to it. Feeling rather breathless at the moment.
The neighbours' pretty goats are foraging at this end of the front field for a change. The idea is to suppress any weeds that the ponies don't or wont eat.
The two little ponies have done a great job in achieving a short sward. From a rather untidy and overgrown area of grass. It has become quite a decent lawn. Their appetites were perfectly matched to the area available to them. While so many other ponies and horses are standing miserably on bare mud. Completely at odds with their normal behaviour. Where they graze almost constantly. Moving onward at short intervals.
The newly prepared area has been grass seeded. Enlarging the area of short grass significantly. The little guard dog was safely contained by a fence. Though nobody could miss its thankfully short, barking alarm.
I followed the Husqvarna robot along their drive. Struggling at times to match its pace uphill. Due to my current state of health. The grass has improved even more during my absence. Only the edges were growing a little taller. Presumably just outside the robot's allotted mowing area.
