7.05.2025 Ear rodding by e-bike.

 ~o~

Wednesday 7th 46F/7.8C [8.00] Another sunny day forecast.

Up at 7.25am after falling back to sleep for an extra half hour. An unusually quiet night.

An appointment in town for a drain rodding with the ear specialist. Followed by physio class after lunch.

I think that using the car is favourite today. No ill effects from yesterday's foolishness. The usual lower back pain. Which normally responds to a walk.

I have ordered some flat MTB shoes online. Prices vary enormously for the same shoes.

A short walk before showering. Warblers every few yards. One crossed the road and I could easily spot him. A chubby little fellow, head back beak pointing upwards, singing so sweetly..

Out to the car. Battery flat. Some idiot had left the lights on for a day and two nights. Which left me with the e-bike and 40 minutes to get to town. Battery half flat from yesterday's ride home from Odense. So I grabbed my cycling gear, plonked it in Sport and rode flat out to town along the main road. A tailwind helped me cruise in the high 30s lower forties km/hr. I was spinning in the low 90s. Quite unbelievably I arrived ten minutes early!

After have my ears rodded I climbed back on and nursed the battery all the way home. Even using Eco and Tour modes I was scraping the bottom of the battery as I arrived home. Both the car and bike are on charge. Will I have enough to start the car? Or worst case enough charge to ride the e-bike there and back.

I have 15 minutes left to leave for physio. No chance. The bike battery is only at 28%. That's not enough to get there. Let alone ride back. The car charger is still on the bottom red bar and is dead to turning the ignition key. No physio today!

There were no lunch rolls. I hadn't been shopping. So I toasted some frozen bread.

16.15 I'll have to go shopping on the bike. I have run out of essentials.

17.00 Back from the shops. A headwind coming home.

I did the backlog of washing up while carrying out laundry duties.

The stove has been lit. It was too cold in the room.

Dinner was fish fingers and chips.
