5.02.2025 When morning delivery means afternoon.

 Wednesday 5th 39F/4C.

Up at 6.30 after a fairly quiet night. A rather chilly 60F/16C in the room. I lit the stove at 7am.

Physio class after lunch. I have to remain at home this morning in the hope of a parcel arriving before I leave. It contains a tool I ordered online. Assuming the weather allows it I shall attempt to do some tidying up outside.

I worked on the display cabinets in the kitchen. Moving them into the centre of the wall and trying different lighting. Unfortunately one of the [recycled] cabinets has had its lower light unit removed. The pins are still there but no crossbar concealing a bulb holder.

The original LED bulbs have the right atmosphere but are rather limited. The cheap, multi-colour LED tape, with remote, which I bought. Is far too blue in its white mode. I shall have to seek out some warm white LED's on a self-adhesive tape.

Physio went well. I had left early. To avoid losing time to the traffic detours and arrived much too early. I was hot, tired and sweaty by the time we finished the hour of exercises. I walked to the car in my shorts and wet t-shirt.

My parcel was waiting for me when I arrived home at 14.45. It was sunny for most of the day. I could have had a bike ride in the morning. UBS waited until late morning before changing the delivery time of the parcel until the afternoon. Which was a damned nuisance! After staying in all morning to receive it. Expecting it to be delivered at the time they showed for the last two days on the tracking.

The parcel contained a dust extractor add-on for my sliding miter saw. Calling the DeWalt dust distributor an extractor is tantamount to fraud. I shall need the saw if I am to build a carport.

Dinner was fish fingers. With pasta, peas and tinned tomatoes. I still haven't bought a kitchen timer! I overdid the fish fingers.
