31.08.2020 "If the Arctic was an ice making business it would be bankrupt!"

~~

Monday 31st 52F. Bright but rather cloudy. Expected to be a pleasant day as summer clings onto favourable, daytime temperatures. A pretty, wind brushed sky. It felt mild, even pleasantly warm in the sunshine. A farmer was struggling with rocks in the soil as he tried to plough.

I am trying very hard to avoid being critical of the politicooze. This is not the place to be pointing out the glaringly obvious. Leave that to the mutually parasitic, advertising media masquerading as news channels.

They have all descended to the level of newspaper tabloids. The countless, catchy, clickbait headlines. Only to be blocked by a demand for ad-blocking be switched off and all cookies be allowed for these advertising fascists.

Google Advertising News is by far the worst! None of the stories is ever new or even remotely original. Just a rehash of something they read on another advertising channel. Whole page demands for cookies to be enabled in exchange for absolute tat.

They deliberately use the Jinping Plague to force their advertising in exchange for zero information. Fake news channels floating, like scum on a sewer, of filth and fear. I have an auto-response. Back click. Move on to the next dire warning headline. Again with No new news! Snake oil headline salesmen peddling their advertising for tired old rumours and innuendo. Corrupt bible thumping, moralist preachers looking for handouts for their next Lamborghini. Advertising is never a victimless crime against humanity. The whole crock of shit is unsustainable. You can never un-see an advertising lie.

30.08.2020 Timeless silence on a Sunday morning walk.

 ~~

Sunday 30th 56-68F, bright but rather cloudy. The cloud mostly cleared as a thin mist floated over the low hills. An early, hour and three quarters spent wandering the empty lanes and tracks. Lots of deer, birds of prey, Wood pigeons, crows and several woodpeckers.

I walked a large rural loop to take in the lake. Where I try to photograph distant water birds. The approach to the only accessible bank is always littered with wild Mallards. Their panic alerts the whole pond as bright chevrons paddle furiously towards the far shore.

My cheap, camouflage jacket seems to be working. A young deer almost walked up to me as I snapped away, while standing completely still. It looked straight at me but was unable to convert me into a lethal danger. It was almost casual. Even when it turned and walked calmly back the way it had come.

The silence was almost total this morning. A complete lack of traffic noise until I finally returned to the main road. Time is strictly traffic dependent. Without traffic it could have been a century earlier. Apart from the lack of animals in the fields and the absence of clanging church bells. We pay an incredibly high price for the convenience of effortless and individual, private transport for the millions!

29.08.2020 Wet.

~~

Saturday 29th 55-68F, overcast. Rain is promised by 10am so I had better get going.

An hour and half walking  along the marsh, up to the woods and back along the track. Saw several deer, several birds of prey, umpteen pheasants and hundreds of juvenile ducks.

It rained at half way but I remained comfortable in my new, dirt cheap, camouflage, polyester jacket. The boots are continuing to delight. With their comfort and protection on all surfaces.

Luckily the camera and lens are rainproof. Only 250 images captured today.
