Saturday 9th 41F/5C. Just as grey but cooler today. Slightly rougher, Easterly wind. Expected to remain at 5C all day then drop by 1º after 18.00.
Up at 7 after another quiet night. I was going to get up at 6am but decided to go back to sleep.
8.30 Time for a walk.
13.00 Drizzling. I looked in at a weekend garage sale. Went shopping in the village. Then visited the lady in the next village. Before returning home for lunch.
The engine of the Morris continues to repeatedly miss a beat. Unlike myself, where my heart has far too many false beats. I shall collect a monitor from the hospital in December to confirm this. Prior to possibly having a pacemaker fitted.
16.00 Still 41F/5C. It has dropped to 62F/16.7C in the room. So I have lit the stove. It remains both grey and very dark. Seventh day in a row without sunshine. A change is expected next week.
Cycling's most successful sprinter, Sir Mark Cavendish, will retire on Sunday after his last professional race.

Dinner was mackerel on toast with halved tomatoes.
